Internal Van Racks

At Vans A La Mode we aim to provide a one stop shop for all of your van needs, so you can drive a van into our fitting unit and then drive it out in a ready to use condition without having to take it to several different places to get it set up as you need it. One of our most popular products are our internal racking systems. Adding internal racking to your van can allow you to neatly store all of your tools and fixings conveniently in one area of the van, so the other areas can be used more freely. Internal racking systems can greatly increase productivity as they cut down on wasted time spent searching for tools or fixings in a cluttered van.

Our internal racking systems are custom made to fit into each van, so we can guarantee a great quality fitment every time. The internal van racking can be made up of wood or metal depending on your requirements. Our racking systems are similar to ply lining kits, each is designed specifically for the vehicle, they are fixed directly to the interior of the van but can be removed if required at a later date. Unlike ply lining kits the internal racking systems can sometimes be adjusted to fit into different vans, so depending on which system you go for you could reuse it over & over with each new van you purchase.

At Vans A La Mode we strive to offer our clients a true 1 STOP SHOP for all of their van accessory needs. To achieve this we carry, not 1, not 2 but 3 different types of internal van racking for our customers to choose from. We have tried and tested several different manufacturers from around the UK and narrowed them down to offer the best range of products that are of great quality and reliability.

The 3 types of internal van racking that we offer at vans a la mode are as follows:

Van racking option 1

Our standard offering for internal van racking is made from ply wood. We use a combination of sourced ply kits and custom made ply wood racking components to create bespoke internal van racking to suit our customers requirements. 

Our ply wood van racking is available for installation at our Manchester site or we can offer mobile installation to our customers in the North West regions of the UK. So if you need van racking in Stockport / Cheadle / Altrincham / Hyde / Rochdale / Oldham / Cheshire there isn't an issue, we can come out to you on-site to install our ply wood van racking inside the rear of your works van.

The benefit of being able to custom make your ply wood van racking is that it can be made totally bespoke to your needs. So if you require a combination of shelving, cupboards, draws, storage areas, there isn't a problem.

The ply wood van racking also allows us to create false floors inside your van to add even more storage.

Our ply wood internal van racking is our most economically priced option for van racking. It is perfect for one man businesses or SME who have 1 or only a few vans and just need a way of storing their tools and items while in transit. As well as helping to organise their tools but keeping them in draws or on shelves.

Van racking option 2

The 2nd option Vans A La Mode offer for internal van racking is our modular steel racking. Modular steel van racking is just that, modular. Its modular status refers to the way it is made, each piece of the this van racking can be made to combine with other parts from the same van racking range to create a complete set of internal van racking for commercial vehicles.

The modular steel internal van racking we offer at Vans A La Mode in Manchester is made to a very high standard to offer great robustness and guarantee a long lasting lifecycle. The modular van racking consists of the following part options

To keep things simple we like to offer our clients the choice of standard layouts with our modular metal (steel) van racking as well as totally custom builds. Our standard van racking layouts add a selection of van cupboards, lockable van draws and van shelving to the inside of the van. These standard van racking layouts give a great mix of storage and function and are perfect for most of our customers requirements. But if you carry specific items or utilise the inside of your van for certain tasks then we can use our modular metal van racking to create a totally bespoke build for the back of your van to suit your individual needs.

In addition to adding shelves and draws to the rear of your van we can also add work surfaces to assist with your work and incorporate other accessories like vices, vice holders, LED lights and power inverters to help turn the rear of your van into a mobile workshop. Saving you the time and money of returning to the workshop to carry out tasks that could be completed in the rear of your van.

A great benefit of the modular metal van racking is that unlike the ply wood van racking it can be removed from the van and reused in a different van easily.

Van racking option 3

Our third option for internal van racking is what we at Vans A La Mode Manchester refer to as composite van racking. Our composite van racking is very similar to our modular steel van racking in that it can be built in a modular way to incorporate a variety of van shelves, van cupboards, van draws and other van storage solutions to create a custom set of internal van racking to suit each customer's individual requirements. So whether you are a gas engineer, a joiner, a plumber or a builder, we can create a custom set of internal van racking to allow you to do your work more efficiently.

The key difference between our modular steel van racking and the composite van racking is that the composite internal van racking has been made using significant investment in materials and ergonomics to streamline your workflow and offer the maximum longevity for the racking.

The composite internal van racking we offer at Vans A La Mode in Manchester is made by Sortimo and consists of a mixture of metal and plastic parts. This combination of materials allows for even greater customisation and robustness when compared to our modular metal van racking.

But the composite van racking does come at a cost, it is aimed at large fleets who need to streamline the workflow of their staff and ensure the rear of each van is uniform and kept tidy. Although the composite van racking is our most expensive option, when used on fleets of vans it can save countless man hours by speeding up the way your staff work, making tools better organised and accessible, and allowing for smart use of the rear of your vans for other tasks and storage.

The great benefit of the composite van racking is that it can be specced to include custom tool boxes and storage boxes, to help keep everything inside the van organised and correctly secured during transit.

Due to the complex nature of our composite van racking solutions we can currently only offer our installation services for them if the commercial vehicle comes into our installation centre in Manchester/Cheshire. Mobile installation is only currently available for our ply wood van racking and our modular metal van racking. We offer these installation services to our customers in the Manchester and Cheshire areas of the UK.

We can however offer a supply only service for our modular steel van racking and our composite van racking, each set of van racking we offer can be installed in a DIY manner as we offer installation instructions that most handy people can follow.
